Comprehensive Options for Your Inspection
Champia is a full-service inspection provider. Beyond the normal Atlanta home inspections found in the residential and commercial sections, additional inspection options include:
- Termite Inspection—Georgia is a prime region for termite infestation. A professional termite inspection can locate the termites and provide treatment to eliminate any active infestations.
- Radon Testing—The Environmental Protection Agency has determined that radon is the second biggest cause of lung cancer. The Atlanta area is shown as having the greatest radon concentration in Georgia. A simple test will determine the radon level in your new home. We use a high-caliber test that provides hourly radon levels. If radon is found over a certain level, the EPA recommends that it be mitigated, and you can request that the seller mitigate to below the necessary threshold.
- Mold Testing—Certain species of mold and mildew pose health risks. If there are visible signs of mold or mildew on your walls or furniture, we can test to identify the species and arm you with information on possible health hazards. If there are no visible signs, but you smell a damp or moldy odor, we can test to compare indoor and outdoor spore concentrations. This will alert you to possible moisture problems inside your home.
- Water Certification—Certain counties require certification that plumbing includes low-flow fixtures (e.g., toilet, shower). You cannot close on a property located in any of these counties without this water certification, which we can provide.
